Foreign Students in the MBBS and BDS courses in the Government Medical
College in Bangladesh for Academic Year .................. under
Self-finance Scheme The Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh is offering 50 seats for MBBS and 5 for BDS for foreign students for the academic year ......................... under self-finance scheme. The interested candidate must fulfill the following criteria of eligibility for admission into MBBS and BDS cource for academic session ...............: 1)The applicant must have passed qualifying examinations i.e.12th grade (10+2=12 years) of schooling at a public school/board/university or passed in any foreign country an examination which is recognized by the government of Bangladesh as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination 2)The applicant must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as their major/compulsory subjects. 3)The applicant must have obtain at least 65% marks in average or aggregate in Secondary and Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examinations respectively. 4)The applicant must have passed Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent not before............. 5)Applicants should be submitted in prescribed forms in four Attested copies of certificates and mark certificates etc. have to be furnished along with the applications. All certificate and mark sheets essentially be attested by the Foreign Ministry of the respective countries of the candidate without which no application will be entertained. 6)Students from SAARC countries and (Palestine and Afghanistan) will pay tuition and other fees at the local but students from other countries will have to pay uS$2000 per academic year in addition to the tuition and other fees at the local rates. 7)Applicants should be submitted through the Bangladesh mission in the concerned countries and must reach the Foreign Ministry by 22 January ............Applications submitted through other channels and after the deadline will. under no circumstances, be accepted. 8)In order to meet the expenditure involved in processing the applicants and determining the equivalence for admission, each applicant must attach with his/her application a non-refundable Demand Draft of US$50 (fifty or Taka 3,000/-(in Bangladesh currency) payable to the Director, Medical Education & HMPD, DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh. 9)Out of total 55 seats, 22 seats for MBBS and 3 for BDS course would be offered to the SAARC countries and the remaining 28 seats for MBBS and 2 for BDS would be allocated to interested candidates from countries other than SAARC region upon availability of applications. The allocation of 25 seats among the SAARC conntries would be as follows:
